Luck was on our side with a gloriously sunny day (the days before and after had torrential rain, so Kington St Michael were very lucky indeed.) There were various stalls, tombola & raffles as well as samples of wares from the village shop. Mmm…

Celebrating the Royal Wedding
Chippenham Town Council asked us to play for the early afternoon at the Buttercross, and by the end of our set we had had quite a few flag wavers showing spirit. We all signed the huge wedding card. Only a few pegs went flying due to windy conditions!

Carolling at Morrison’s
Braving the cold to play jolly carols. I think we succeeded in bringing a little cheer to the tired shoppers, and also a little something to our chosen charity of the season as proceeds went towards Springboard.
A White Weekend at Whitehall Garden Centre
A valiant troop made their way through the snow to huddle beneath the heaters in the festive Garden Centre. Some heroic individuals even made it to both days! We raised money for the Lions Club which benefited the Naomi House children’s Hospice. (That fetching individual in the red cloak was the epitome of the season….
Gateway Club, Hardenhuish School
This event had a large turn-out from the band, with an audience keen and eager to participate. Lots of laughs had by all, and some raffle winners of our own members too. Even some competition for conducting to keep Alan on his toes!
