An exceedingly sunny afternoon saw us located in the splendid Parade Gardens in Bath, within a bandstand surrounded by flowers! We played two sets of music for the various locals & tourists whiling away the afternoon in the park or passing by near the Abbey. It was great to see band family members in attendance – even a young interloper on-stage! The summer-style songs were well received such as “Hawaii-Five-0”, “Teddy Bears’ Picnic”, “The Dambusters” and a few slower numbers such as “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” and “Basin Street Blues.”
We had a trumpet masquerading as a clarinet as most of our clarinet section were unavailable – very well sight-read! (We are always on the lookout for new members – please see here for more details.)
