Victorian Carol Singers! High Street, Dec 2012
Today a large troupe convened, despite the damp conditions, on Chippenham high street to play carols, again collecting for our nominated charity: Wiltshire carers. To our delight, the Victorian dressed CLOGS society (Victorian Fayre at the Market) joined us on a whim for our final selection of carols: Angels from the Realms of Glory, Away in a Manger and Once in Royal David’ s City.
Perhaps someone should have warned them that we have our own tradition of playing We Wish You a Merry Christmas at break neck speed the second time through before they tried to sing along with that…
